1. The short version
FrameForge does not collect personal data from you. The site's tools are calculators — they run JavaScript in your browser. We do not have a backend, a database, or an analytics warehouse that stores your inputs. We do not require an account, an email, or a name to use any tool.
The only data that touches a third party is what Google AdSense reads from cookies when it decides which ad to show. We don't see that data either — AdSense serves ads autonomously. Below is the long version.
2. Information we don't collect
- No account creation. No email. No name.
- No analytics tool from us. We don't run Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, Matomo, or any other visitor tracker on this site.
- No tool input is sent to a server. Your LUFS value, your aspect ratio, your color palette — all of it stays on your device.
- No third-party embed that profiles users (no Facebook Pixel, no TikTok Pixel, no Hotjar, no session-recording scripts).
3. Information collected automatically (server logs)
Like virtually every website on the public Internet, our hosting provider records standard server logs. These logs contain:
- Your IP address (transient, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
- The page URL you requested
- Your browser's user-agent string
- Timestamp of the request
Server logs are rotated and purged on a 14-day rolling window. They are not sold, not shared with advertisers, and not linked to any user profile. They exist for the same reason every website keeps them: to diagnose outages and stop abuse.
4. Google AdSense & third-party advertising
FrameForge displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. AdSense is Google's program for serving ads on participating websites. When you visit a page on this site that contains an ad slot, Google (or one of its advertising partners) may set or read cookies in your browser to decide which ad to show you.
What Google uses cookies for
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other sites on the open web. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to FrameForge and/or other sites on the Internet.
What data is shared
- AdSense may share information about your visit to this site with third-party vendors.
- AdSense uses the data to associate your browser with interest categories (e.g. "interested in video production software").
- FrameForge does not receive any of this data from Google. We see aggregate ad performance numbers (impressions, click-through rate) but never user-level data.
Opting out of personalized ads
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of certain third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google AdSense displays a consent banner on first visit and only sets advertising cookies after you grant consent. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time.
5. Cookies in general
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. FrameForge itself sets zero cookies. The only cookies potentially set on this site come from:
- Google AdSense — for ad personalization (see section 4).
- Cloudflare (if applicable as a CDN) — for security filtering (e.g. distinguishing bots from humans). These cookies are not used for advertising.
You can clear, block, or selectively disable cookies in your browser settings. Blocking AdSense cookies will not break the calculators — they'll just show generic, non-personalized ads.
6. Children's privacy
FrameForge is not directed at children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has interacted with the site in a way that collected data, contact us via the method on the About page and the data will be purged.
7. Data retention
Since we don't collect personal data from your tool inputs, there's nothing to retain on our side. Server logs are retained for 14 days (see section 3). AdSense data is governed by Google's own retention policy.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the GDPR (EEA/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), PIPL (China), or analogous laws. Because we don't collect personal data, most of these rights are not exercisable against us — but you have full rights against Google for any data AdSense collects. See Google's privacy policy for those rights.
9. International transfers
The site is hosted in the United States. If you visit from outside the US, your server-log entry (see section 3) crosses borders as part of the standard Internet routing. No personal data is transferred because no personal data is collected.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, the change will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes are not retroactive — they apply from the date posted forward.
A summary, in plain English
We don't take your data. Google does, when it serves an ad, and you can tell Google to stop. We don't sell anything, we don't track you across the site, and we don't run analytics. If a tool takes a number from you, that number stays on your device.
